The First Blog ... finally!!

Welcome to The Blog!

I am finally sitting down to write – something I have been meaning to do for a while now. It is the end of July, and I told myself at the beginning of summer that this would be the summer I would finally click "publish."

Creating this space has been on my mind for the last few years. A place where I can share the moments, big and small, that are shaping my life. I am so excited (and a little nervous) to begin, but more than anything, so grateful to have this corner of the internet to call my own.

I have not always loved writing, though. It was not until college that I discovered this passion and strength of mine. I will never forget that after my first semester of college, I was reconsidering what I wanted to study in college. Whether I wanted to continue on the path I had set out for myself in high school, or pivot to a field that catered more to my strengths. My mom was the one who told me I was a very good writer and encouraged me to embrace that gift. Her words stuck with me as I decided to switch my major to Advertising and Public Relations – one that includes a lot of writing, which I now have found a deep love for. Whether it is journaling about my days, writing notes and letters to those I love, or cranking out an essay for one of my classes, I enjoy writing in any form.

Now that I am heading into my senior year at UNC (cue the tears, because I cannot believe I am even writing that), I want this blog to be a digital scrapbook of my final year in college. A place where I can look back and remember the unforgettable nights, but also the ordinary ones, too, like weekly ice cream runs with my roommates. Taking note of and reflecting on all of the firsts and lasts, highs and lows, and the laughter and tears that will come along the way. Posts you can expect to see will range from fashion finds and new recipes to recapping fun nights with my friends and the important life lessons I am learning along the way.

Think of this blog as my time capsule – filled with the little joys, big milestones, and everything in between!
